Aubrey was great, she was as super thorough in her assessment. I’ve been having terrible pubic bone pain (SPD) in my 3rd trimester and she really checked everywhere to see the contributing causes. She was extremely gentle with her touch and after our first session my pain had gone down so much! She had really helpful tips on how to correct the things that are causing my imbalance, like being mindful of how to not rotate my left hip outward while sitting. I’ve been doing chiro and acupuncture as well but this one session made the biggest difference in my pain so far! 10/10 would recommend!

At cappuccino PT, we do things a little differently…

We strive to provide a higher quality of care, which is why we have dedicated providers who specialize in pelvic floor dysfunction and rehabilitation.

All of your appointments are one hour long with your Doctor of Physical Therapy. We have no aides, no assistants, no machines. You will not just be hooked up to an antiquated device doing Kegels on your back, or sitting on a chair that zaps your pelvic floor 12,000 times in 30 minutes (yes, this is a real thing!).

Book the appointment! Cappuccino PT is absolutely amazing- the PTs are extremely knowledgeable and make you feel comfortable and confident. I had issues with coughing and sneezing after my second pregnancy which led me to the appointment, but had been struggling for years with left leg pain that felt tied to my pelvic floor. Within a few months both symptoms were relieved .I can’t recommend Cappuccino Physical Therapy enough!

FAQs

What makes cappuccino pt different than other clinics?

We are a team of pelvic floor physical therapists who SPECIALIZE in treating pelvic floor dysfunction. We are not just dabbling in the field. All of our certifications and continuing education is focused on the pelvic floor.

Is pelvic floor PT just kegels? do you use kegel machines?

Absolutely not. In fact, Kegels can make things worse, especially if you are coming in for a pain condition. Most people have overactive pelvic floors and need to learn how to relax them, which is the opposite of Kegels. So if you have been doing 100s of Kegels a day and are not seeing improvement, it’s likely you need pelvic floor relaxation. The pelvic floor is SO much more complex than being hooked up to a machine to do Kegels. We will watch you perform the activities that cause you symptoms, teach you exercises to strengthen the pelvic floor without Kegels, and also teach you how to relax the pelvic floor. Kegel machines will never address the root cause of your symptoms.

how long are your treatment sessions?

All of our treatments are one hour long with the same Doctor of Physical Therapy. You will never be passed off to an aide or an assistant after just 20 minutes with a therapist like other clinics do. We want to make sure you are getting the best quality care possible so you have your physical therapist’s undivided attention for one hour.

I’ve had a pelvic floor issue for years. is it too late to get helP?

It’s never too late to seek care for pelvic floor dysfunction whether your baby is 8 months old or 8 years old! Some chronic issues take longer to treat than others, but all pelvic floor issues can be addressed at Cappuccino Physical Therapy.
